I have a basic rule that says "when door unlocked, send notification" for one Z-wave door lock. For a different one, I have a rule that says "when door unlocked, turn on light X". So, 2 different locks...
I've checked their logs - they're appropriately registering the unlock actions with the Hub.. but the hub isn't doing the task it's programed to do.....consistently. If I reboot, it seems to be good to go for X amount of time, but otherwise, it's only hitting the notification or action about 50%. Ideas?
I have been having the same issue with 3 zwave locks for the past week or 2, I was subscribing it to they are all low signal and I was actually to increase their signal strength by moving my hub
Mine are all within 10 feet of a powered light switch, usually ZW Plus. They're Kwikset 914 locks. I did notice there's a Z-Wave Plus chip in the new locks, I've had these for a while, so I ordered a couple of the ZW Plus chips... will put them in and see if it improves (at least on the most frequent doors).
So are the locks being unlocked consitantly but just not getting the notifications or the locks getting sent the unlock signal but not unlocking so you're not getting the notification?
If the former, install pushover free (I think you a certain amount of notifications) to test out. If the latter, install a beaming repeater near the lock. (I recommend the Ring extender v2)
Actually they are at about 91db and appear to only respond or connect once or twice every 12 hours, I had suspected that it might have been the light switch near both locks as being a poor repeater and had replaced it with a new ge enbrighten toggle. it does not appear to have helped and neither door appears to want to use the new switch as a repeater
The 2 that are the worst are garage rear doorlock and garage interior doorlock. There is a brand new zwave plus ge enbrighten toggle Garage light within 4 ft of each of them
i gave up on zwave locks as they require beaming repeaters. and switched the kwikset modules to zigbee no more issues.. they were like you finicky at best for me.
