Migration to C-8, from C-7, new hub doesn't see cloud backups

I just received my C-8 hub, and I am trying to migrate to it from my C-7 hub.

I currently have Hubitat Protect on the C-7 Hub, so I can backup directly to the cloud from the C-7

I disabled all LAN/Cloud integration apps
removed lock code encryption
did the cloud backup

I tried using the migration strategy outlined in the documentation and couldn't get it to recognize any of the cloud backups that I had created on my C-7.

So, I registered my C-8 hub
and made the admin dan@*****.com, checked the version: 2.3.6.146

I made sure the admin on the C-7 hub was also dan@*****.com, Checked the version: 2.3.6.146

I recreated a backup to the cloud from the C-7 hub, I can see that it was created. However when I bring up the C-8 hub, and go into "Migrate" from the settings menu, it tells me that there are "no cloud backups found. Please create a migration backup first."

I'm banging my head against the wall here, what am I missing????

I don't know if this is important or not, but ever since I've used Hubitat my logon for the hub(s) C-5, C-7 has just been dv*****, Not a complete e-mail address (this id is a user not admin). It is not that way with the C-8 which uses a full e-mail address.

Thanks,

Dan

Did you do this (from the docs)?

  • If you used the cloud link in step 6 instead, choose the migration-ready backups link at the top of the page instead (or show all backups if you do not see this), find your cloud or migration backup in the list, and select the "Migrate from other hub" icon "migrate from another hub" icon (under the Actions column) corresponding to this backup.

That part doesn't matter. It sounds like Hub Login Security, not to be confused with your My Hubitat/hub registration (https://my.hubitat.com) account. For this purpose, having your two hubs registered to the same account is the part that does matter. It sounds like you've checked this, but it might be worth a second look. Check in Settings > Hub Details, specifically under the "Emails linked to hub" section.
