Migration from C7 to C8 has broken Zigbee

Hi

I have just installed a C-8 to replace my old C-7.

I did a migration backup on the C7 to cloud then powered it off. Booted the C-8 and restored the backup - everything looked ok.

Hue items work ok. However, previously paired Zigbee devices eg power outlets were not responding.
Now notice alert saying Zigbee is offline.

I Have tried

  • disabling and enabling Zigbee radio.
  • Rebuilding Zigbee network.
  • Updating C-8 firmware.
  • Shutdown and restart.
  • swapping antennae

Nothing works - when I enable Zigbee radio, it simply stays on
REBOOTING
and nothing happens.

Is this likely to be faulty hardware?

Have you tried pulling the power for a few minutes after the shutdown? The Zigbee “Reboot Radio” should do the same thing, so would be another option to try first…

Unplug it to be sure...there can still be some radio action going on w/a hub shut down but on power.

if you do another restart, let the hub sit for an hour or two and see if the Zigbee devices start coming back.

How about after you shutdown the hub gracefully, cycle the main house breaker?
Of course, when no one is home who would complain about it.
