Migrated c8 to c8 pro can’t enable ZWaveJS

Migrated a c8 to c8 pro via backup, trying to enable ZWaveJS gives the error “ ZWaveJS installation is invalid” using the api endpoint for forceInstall gives “ ZWaveJS installation failed”

Any thing else I can try?

Seems to be a trend:

Did you try the Z-WaveJS button on the Z-Wave Details page first, and that failed?

Then, just to confirm...tried below and it failed?

yourhubIPaddress/hub/zwave2/forceInstallZWaveJS

Have you tried shutting down your hub/wait for red LED/pull power/wait 30s/restore power and try the endpoint(s) again?

Yes, the button on the details page yields “ZWaveJS installation is invalid” then trying forceInstallZWaveJS returns “ ZWaveJS installation is invalid”

Trying the power down now.

Forgot to ask...what hub platform version are you on?

And there is also a force enable endpoint...

yourhubIPaddress/hub/zwave2/forceEnable

But since enable via the button and the install failed that likely will fail as well.

Could also try

/hub/zwave2/cleanInstallZWaveJS

2.4.3.158

Same results with the power down and retry

this returned “OK” but the switch to ZWaveJS button still returns “ ZWaveJS installation is invalid”

May need to reboot and then wait a few minutes before trying again.

No luck, same errors after running cleanInstallZWaveJS, rebooting, and trying again

At this point this is about as much of a trend as hitting the Powerball twice. We know it could happen.

@bgermain1689 please send a message to @support_team along with your hub id so we can check to see what happened.

actually, there were two in the thread I referenced, and this one, makes 3

I'd say the odds of ZWJS doing something weird is a little less than hitting Powerball twice.

Fix is coming.. In the meantime you can use:

/hub/zwave2/cleanInstallZWaveJS

I had the same issue with not being able to switch to ZWaveJS on a C8 Pro running 2.4.3.158 (just upgraded from 2.4.0.150 earlier today if that makes a difference). Ran /hub/zwave2/cleanInstallZWaveJS which returned "OK", then did a manual reboot. Was then able to switch to ZWaveJS which initiated an automatic reboot and after that all appears to be switched over.
