Hi. I have been using a Trane/Nexia hub for a number of z-wave devices, including 4 Schlage motorized door locks, several light switches, and a camera. I also use Amazon Alex, including voice control, for a variety of lights (Leviton and Smart Life), as well as Sonus and a Carrier Thermostat.
I'd like to replace the Trane/Nexia with something more modern and cloud independent.
Thinking Hubitat may be a good choice. I've read a few things about challenges with Schlage locks though, and it's hard to tell if they will truly integrate correctly.
Also, for wifi products (such as Leviton switches), will these devices be able to connect and be controlled by Hubitat directly, or will I still be dependent on the cloud gateways services for these devices?
Any thoughts from folks with a similar experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Dan
