Just wanted to share a bit of Zigbee range data on one of my eWeLink ZB-SW02 devices in case anyone ever wonders what kind of distance this device could make outdoors with a fairly clear line-of-sight.
I think this is the third Holiday Season I have used this so that will give you an idea what generation it is.
It is sitting on it's own in a small weatherproof plastic enclosure about 4' above the ground and is making it's way back to a Sinope outlet inside building (exterior wall) some 175-180 feet away.
I bet that could be pushed even further with a new HE with external antennas. The key is having a fairly clear line-of-sight. So there yah go, for what it's worth.
I know there have been a few mixed reports on these relays from time to time. I even had one where I felt the tethered dual relay switching mode (one goes on, other goes off) wasn't behaving as expected....but all in all I continue to be impressed by the utility of these little cards once they are settled into a particular location & operation.
