I have noticed that on a certain line of speech that the voice "Matthew" (English) has a problem speaking it correctly. The line says "the garage double door is now open".
But Matthew says "the garage double door is now o open" there is an extra "o" in there. Just a FYI.
Hubitat uses the Amazon Poly for TTS. So, there is nothing that hubitat can do about that one. IT would have to get fixed by Amazon.
Dang, that is too bad. I only see it with Matthew. Joey has a different problem that I didn't mention. He speeds up his speech at the end of a sentence. I have a line that says "the window is open and the ac is on". He speeds up at the end when it gets to ac is on. Rather funny. Well both are probably fixable with different verbiage so I will try that.
I had the same issue. I just changed the text to "Garage door is %devicechange%" and I'm happy with it.
@greg Thanks Greg. I will give that a shot. I know there is a list somewhere I'm sure of all the variables we can use but I can't seem to find it.
Well I'm actually doing it through Big Talker. I think the variables are listed in the app if I remember right.
%devicechange% is not a system variable that I am aware of. it must be specific to Big Talker.
Yep, thanks. So I found out when it did something weird. I have used %value% instead and it seems to work.
%value% is a built in variable in rule machine.
Is there a list of these variables that are built in to HE? It would be nice to have as a reference. thanks
They are listed at the bottom of the rule after you select any of the speak actions.
