[MATTER] Meross MS600 - PIR and Millimeter Wave Radar [NEW]

I tried to add this sensor to my C8. I configured it on Alexa and then try to add to HE using the matter id,
Pairing failed at Send NOC and with this message
Pairing failed @ FindOperational with code 50 (Timeout)

I also tried with Matter Bridge Advanced and when trying to do _Discover All I got
ERROR during the Matter Bridge and Devices discovery (state BRIDGE_GLOBAL_ELEMENTS_WAIT)

If using your phone to add this sensor to HE, pair the sensor while your phone is locked on 2,4Ghz wifi.

For the first time I had one sensor drop of the network. Even the Meross app would not find it anymore, not even after a reboot.
Run the setup again, and was able to join it to the network again.

Out of the five sensors I have, this is the first one that dropt from the network.

I know this is an older thread, but wondering if I can get some help here (or start a new thread). Added the Meross MS600 to HomeKit first as instructed with the Meross start up guide, then subsequently used Matter setup code to add it to Hubitat C8 Pro. I see the device but seem to be registering any activity in Hubitat (does show any events or logs), even though Meross Log clearly shows it’s working.

I haven’t added the Matter Bridge or even a Meross App in Hubitat yet. Didn’t know those even existed. Do I need to? Or what else can I do to set this up correctly?

You don't need to install any apps, just manually select the device type to "Generic Matter Motion Sensor" :

Then click on the Configure button.

Oh thank you so much. That did it. I had fiddled around with the Device type, but didn’t know which one was best and didn’t know needed to click Configure afterwards.

I also installed your Advanced Matter Bridge before earlier. Is there any advantage of having this installed? Not sure what it does..

Matter Advanced Bridge will include the MS600 illuminance sensor; however, using the Bridge is more of a workaround and adds unnecessary complexity for a simple mmWave sensor.

If you do not need the illuminance sensor, it is better to stick with the built-in HE drivers.

Thanks so much. I am not planning to use Illuminance part of sensor at this time. But is it okay to just keep The Advanced Matter Bridge app installed even if not in use for now?

Yes, you can keep it. I have hundreds of community drivers and apps installed on my hubs.. : )

is this still a good sensor ? I really want to stop getting on a ladder for batteries and if this work like they should rules to keep lights from turning off get easier !

There were several reports that MS600 will stop reporting motion ('presence') after some time,

Yes, lately it seems to stop. I have to go to device and hit configure, intialize and refresh. Then go to preferences and save.
