No, Zigbee would be fine - I haven't enabled it yet but it's no problem on a C7 hub.
And it doesn't require the Hue Bridge? Don't think so....
Information about it is a bit sketchy - user manual = installation manual (only).

Difficulties encasing a motion sensor to waterproof it - compromises the detection so I am told.
The Hue outdoor motion sensor is awesome - mine's paired via Hue bridge, but you can pair it directly to Hubitat (it's ZB3.0).
Mine's been operating for many years, and it sees wild seasonal temperature & weather extremes up here in MN -- I can honestly say it's never skipped a beat -- it's a great and super reliable device.
