Matter accreditation and compliance

I noticed that Hubitat is now using and promoting the Matter logo alongside their product. Does that mean that Hubitat have become a member of the CSA and that the hubs have been through the certified Matter accreditation program that governs the use of this logo on a product? I've probably missed some posts.

Great stuff and I look forward to expansion of the official Matter support in HE to fill out the roles that HE supports.

As I understand it, Hubitat have been a CSA member for quite some time. They have been listed as an "Adopter" member on CSA website for at least a year.

Great - there are so many companies listed in so many different categories on that website I missed them . Good stuff... and that I assume leads to them having passed accreditation...

Does it matter? I mean that honestly. Alexa a hue are, and my hue devices keep disappearing every day from Alexa. If that is what accreditation means, does it really matter (pun intended)?

To be fair, the only thing required to carry the matter logo is to simply join the association. Just because something is matter compliant doesn't mean it works worth a damn (nanoleaf string lights, and meross outlets are good examples)

It's really a shame/annoying when organizations only want the membership fees and don't really care about functionality. :frowning:
