All of a sudden, I am receiving this error. Upgraded to the latest firmware, rebooted, and the network is ok.
Matter installation was attempted at hub boot time but failed. In order to use Matter, you
have to install some software dependencies first. Please check hub's Internet connection
and reboot the hub to try again.
Found the problem: I had wifi turned on, and it connected to a network that didn't allow internet. The strange part was that the latest update downloaded and installed fine. Could the matter update connect to a different server?
Please try this endpoint: http://hubs.ip.address.here/hub/matter/reinstall
If that doesn't work, switch back to the previous version. Regardless of whether it works, please PM me the hub id, we'll check out the engineering logs on the hub.
2.5.1.139 is out with a hotfix for Matter installation. This should be good going forward, and we're adding tests to catch this scenario in the future.
My one Matter device went offline with 2.5.1.138. After updating to 2.5.1.140 it still would not come back online. Tried a few things that didn’t work. I restored from the backup I made before installing 2.5.1.138 and everything appears to be OK now. No help needed. Just a data point if someone else runs into this.
So did the latest update hose Matter? All 4 of my devices fail to respond when a command is issued via Hubitat. I have no issue when using Apple Home. Unfortunately 2 of the devices are tied to a button that runs through Hubitat (in the bathroom… which has me in the dog house lol)
