Marine Fish Tank

Hi everyone, this idea might not apply to most but as the tile suggests I looking to get a temperature sensor for a salt water tank. I got some on the tank obviously but I want to link it to a dashboard to make alerts etc. The question is are there ZigBee versions? (I have no z-wave devices)

If anyone has done this could they share, this would be awesome to be able to do it. I have tried to look at doing it with a raspberry pi 4 and I looked like a deer in headlights.
So if I can stay away from that that would probably be best.

Thanks in advance fello reefer/hubitat user

If you are OK with flashing tasmota and a little soldering. This works great. Plus an automatic fish feeder

You can also use something like the Neptune Systems Apex if you already have one. There is a community driver for reading it's data.

Other options are:
Using Hubduino with a DIY temperature probe.
If you could possibly find one (I have not found a way to buy them as they appear to be an OEM), Climax has the " TSO-9-EL-ZBS" which is a ZigBee temperature probe
If you do not mind Z-Wave you can get a Qubino device and temperature probe accessory

Some excellent suggestions in here. For my hot tub, I take a small iPhone waterproof bag, throw a cheap SONOFF sensor in it, and tie it to one of the handles. Works pretty well and cost about $25 total. Not the prettiest thing and I let mine float on the top but it's quick and dirty and my mesh is strong enough to reach it. I end up replacing it periodically... the last bag I got is pink and has sparkles. (It was on sale.)

Wow thats a stupid good idea

I'm not sure how accurate it is... I'm kinda thinking fish may be less tolerant of a temperature change than I am in the hot tub. I mainly use it to make sure the hot tub is still working!
