So might be a silly question, when I remove a zigbee or z-wave device from ST, unsing the remove device option, does it exclude the device or do I have to run a general exclude and put the device into include/ exclude mode?
It should be excluded unless you had to "force remove"
And would the device start looking to join itself (generally)
Depends on the device... some require you to push a button.. .
Looks like I'm going to have to dig out all the instructions
Emphasis on SHOULD especially with z-wave. It's always best to do another exclude again in Hubitat and from experience a factory reset of the device as well. This just ensures you won't have to delete, factory reset and repair it again in the future when things don't work correctly.
