Lutron Telnet not working reliably

I have the Pro Hub, both hubitat C7 and that hub are plugged into same switch and UPS.
It intermittenly connects via Telnet. What causes this

Bad ethernet cable (Hubitat or Lutron), bad link speed... its definitely an ethernet issue.

In addition to what @mike.maxwell suggested, it could also be an issue with the switch (or switch port).

Is your switch a managed switch? I had an odd issue with telnet between HE and Envisalink a ways back. I tried all sorts of stuff but finally ended up disabling STP and LLDP-MED. I have no idea WHY that resolved the issue but it did. I think it's much more likely to be something else (like a cable or negotiation etc) and I did not do the same thing for my Lutron hub. But if you try all those and nothing gets better you might want to try those.

@jack4 what make/model switch?

I would start with the ethernet cable as @mike.maxwell suggested.

Try grabbing a small switch and swapping it out to see if the issue continues.

I don't think it is bad ethernet on hubitat, otherwise I would have problems connecting to web interface.
I have tried 3 different cables on Lutron Pro.
It is cheap unmanaged TP Link TL-SG116.

Ignore my comments about LLDP and STP... :slight_smile:

Yeah, well telnet isnt as gracious as http, no harm in replacing the cable.

Try another switch. I used to have the same switch and it was not cooperating with my HE/Phillips Hue bridge.

What is a telnet command I can try from my desktop?

Never mind search on duck duck go revealed some commands

It appears to be working again. I'm not sure if rebooting the Lutron Pro Hub it or changing the ethernet cable on the Lutron Hub fixed it.
