Lutron Caseta Question

My leviton z-wave switches all make a relay click sound when activated. I find this annoying. Is this the case with Caseta?

Nope, no click.

No, not at all.

I had the relay click with dumb occupancy light switch/sensors. I hate it!

Finally with these I don't have to hear that click every time somebody uses the bathroom!

Ok, that's good to hear. And another question... do you link your lutron switches to google/alexa direct or indirectly through hubitat?

Either way will work, and in both cases Hubitat's status of these devices will still be updated instantly.

For a little while, Lutron's Caseta Fan Controller was better supported by the direct Amazon to Lutron integration. I mostly expose the devices to Alexa via Hubitat's Amazon Echo Skill.

It's fairly simple try it both ways, just don't do both at once or things can get very confusing.

In Alexa, I bring it through Hubitat.

Under HomeKit, I bring it through Lutron. (I had issues when bringing it through Hubitat. I couldn't dim).

I use google home at my place. Anybody with this setup can recommend the best config?

I find it easier to do native Alexa integration and only expose virtual switches to Alexa through Hubitat for various automations and routines. But that’s what works for me.

NO!! The others told you already. The caseta switches and dimmers are silent! You DON'T hear a thing!!!

(Sorry... I couldn't resist :sunglasses: )
