Does anyone know how much power (electricity) a lutron caseta dimmer uses? The radio is always on, 24 x 7, and I'm interested in knowing the cost of electricity to keep them powered up all the time.
Depending on where you live, electricity usually costs around 10-20 cents per kilowatt-hour in the US.
I donโt actually know how much power any of the caseta dimmers draw, but I would guess it couldnโt add more than a few cents to your annual electricity bill, if that.
Have you asked Lutron? Their customer support is great.

Remember that Zigbee and Z-Wave are LOW POWER technologies. I agree with what @marktheknife said and throw in that I doubt you have a meter sensitive enough to measure the current. It could easily be in the microAmps range. Think about how long the battery lasts in devices.
