and... can confirm it just happened again on ,142 @gopher.ny , on a different hub this time. Will PM you the ID.
With 2.3.7.142, Zigbee should come back on its own in a couple of minutes, max. Is that what's happening or does Zigbee stay down? If it comes back, I can most likely reduce the downtime. If not, it's back to the drawing board.
As the original person of this post, just downloaded .142 and no problems. Zigbee radio came right back up.
I see where 142 got tripped on the @hubitrep's and @kahn-hubitat's hub.
Another fix is coming.
2.3.7.143 is out, hopefully this fixes the issue for good.
All good on my problem hub.

I just brought back an old C7 hub for a remote location. It was an old hub I used for my radio devices at home before, so I got help from @bobbyD to reset the radios... I reset both the z-wave and zigbee radios a few days ago. Prior to that, I had added a zigbee device successfully. Then removed it prior to resetting just cause I wanted to start clean.
Anyway, I went back to that location to add some zigbee devices today. No error messages or anything appeared but the devices would not add... I saw there was an update to .143 so I applied it. I had updated remotely to .142 earlier in the day. Again, saw no error messages.
When the hub came up, I got the error message zigbee network is offline. I see no errors as such before the upgrade, and I was on .141 and .142 earlier today. Just after the .143 upgrade, I got the error message.
Now it could have been an issue before as I couldn't get those devices to pair. But there was nothing in the logs about it and no errors, just the pairing timed out.
Anyway, I have tried all kinds of things from shutting down the hub and pulling power (I have a remote WiFi switch for that
) and disabling and re-enabling the zigbee radio from settings. Nothing seems to be able to bring it back online. FYI, I also cannot change the radio channel.
I just tried disabling and a longer shutdown... Waiting to see if that works... I also tried reverting back to .141 and 2.3.5 which it was on before bringing it back to life a few days ago... Again, when I first powered it up, I was able to add zigbee devices... Not sure what happened in the last few days.
Did my radio just fail or could this be software related?
EDIT: Holy Crap... I just got it to come back online... I did it by reverting to 2.3.5.103 and doing the zigbee radio reset from there... Either the radio reset procedure in 2.3.7 is messed up or its something else in the firmware... I'm going to upgrade back to 2.3.7.143 and see if it sticks.
**EDIT #2: @bobbyD @gopher.ny **
I believe my issue started with the reset I did from the secret diagnostic menu you showed me in 2.3.7. I was able to complete the z-wave reset fine, but I'm guessing the zigbee reset did not work... I even went back in today and tried it again and still the zigbee radio was offline. When I rolled back to 2.3.5 where the radio reset options were still available, it completed a zigbee reset and it even gave me a new PAN ID... Previously in 2.3.7 that did not happen. So, please take a look at the reset options in 2.3.7. I know you don't want them public for good reason, but I don't think the zigbee one worked properly... And I was able to upgrade to .143 with the radio still working. Sorry to hijack this thread, but they still could be related.
Noted. Most likely, we'll make radio reset options visible by default in the diagnostics tool. And test them exhaustively before rolling the feature out.
Also, a big thank you for an exhaustive description of the issue and the effort taken to resolve it. This could have been a very lengthy back-and-forth. Instead, I know exactly what needs to be done.
Shh...don't let people know that...Will ruin your rep as a miracle worker!
I think we stumbled into this particular part in a prior 2.3.7 build as well but it was not taking the radio offline, just did not clear the device list out or change the ID was what we noticed.
On the software side of things we provide "solutions", they just appear to be miracles... ![]()

I've been having no problem with Zigbee devices (on my C-7) at all.
However, a little over an hour ago I updated to 2.3.7.143. A while later I realized a number of Iris v2 motion sensors were no longer reporting active. I did a reboot and the ones that weren't working now seem to be reporting alright.
This is why we call him (dramatic pause...) @SuperDupe! ![]()
C8 here and also lost zigbee. Updated to .143 and still missing devices. I have tried many of the suggestions here such as shutting down, power unplug, wait and plug back in. Resetting and or rebuilding zigbee. It's weird, I can click on a device to power on or off and either nothing or a huge delay in commands. I have no idea what I am doing here.
Can you PM me the hub id? I'll check the engineering logs on the hub for clues.
I think I sent my hub ID to you. Havent used PM here before
Actually, I just received your hub ID, along with your ATM pin, home address, and a few pictures of you from college that I'm pretty sure you don't want in the public domain. ![]()
