Losing connection

Every week or so I loose my connection to my hub (C7). I reboot my router to get it back. Is there a way to auto (an app) reboot the hub or router when the hub connection drops out?

Could you please share the make/model of your router and how is yoyhub connecting to it (Ethernet, Wi-Fi). Also, be sue to update to latest release, as 2.3.6 has enhancements related to hub connectivity.

2.3.6.142

Tenda WiFi 6 Gaming Router, AX3000

This happened before I updated to 2.3.6.142. Just updated hub this morning

Ethernet, using one of the 3 ports on the back of the AX3000 OR is your hub configured for WiFi ?

Sorry, Ethernet port on back of router

Are you running jumbo frames?

I don't believe so

Are you running a DHCP reservation or static ip for the hub?

Yes, static IP

Do a DHCP reservation instead, then press the reset button on the bottom of the hub for 7 seconds with a toothpick or paperclip (it will be the only round hole out of all the square ones) and see how things go.

Why? This has been working correctly since I set it up, well over a year ago. Why change>

Because anecdotally we've seen the ip stack become corrupt with static ip's. It's simply to see if this cures your or not. Process of elimination.

Do you have auto-update enabled on your router?

I don't believe I can set firmware update to auto.

Auto System maintenance is off

I'll have to wait and see. It only happened twice in a two week period.

It happened again. Had to reboot the router. My ISP is supposed to do maintenance later tonight, maybe it's them.
I'm set to DHPC /static IP . I'm having fiber service installed next week. Hopefully the new ISP will be better. Nothing but trouble with Spectrum.

You can always switch to your own equipment. Use your own router, have spectrum put theirs into bridge mode (so you're not double natting) so theirs is nothing but a modem.

I'm using my own router.
