Looking to Hire a Developer to Help Setup HubConnect

Hey Developer Community,

We have a basic existing smarthome setup in SmartThings that we aren't completely ready to get rid of yet, and want to start playing with Hubitat. The first step is setting up HubConnect on both SmartThings and Hubitat for it's advertised two-way communication, and then we want to set up a few Lutron Pico's on the Hubitat to control devices and scenes (the main reason we're interested in Hubitat right now is for that ability)... we just don't want to move away from SmartThings yet.

While over time I could figure all these things out, time is something we don't have, so I was wondering if any developer would be available/interested for hire with experience in the above to hire to help get it all set up for us, then educate us a bit on adding more things in the future (which we could do on our own if needed.).

Proposal would probably be providing a remote link into our network/home with VPN or TeamViewer to help set up the devices for anything that can't be done over the cloud.

Thanks for considering!

I highly suggest attempting the install yourself. You get a better understanding of what's going on in your environment that way. HubConnect was just updated to version 1.5 and the install process is much easier.

The install guide is very easy to follow.

Here are a couple of videos that should get you started.

I agree with what @jkudave has opined. I'd like to add - this is an incredibly helpful community; if you get stuck and post questions to the main HubConnect thread, the odds are high you'll get an answer within minutes.

Your plan sounds like a really good way to ease into it slowly so I would agree with the advice to give it a shot. This community is amazingly supportive and with your planned approach you can take it slow and minimize breaking things.

I agree also. You can do this. The instructions are very self-explanatory. Hub connect has been around for a while and improved upon. I think you'd be able to do it yourself very easily. And the community is here for you along the way. You've got this.

So I am attempting to do this myself as suggested. I cant even get out of the gate. I go to IMPORT the url from the instructions, App Code - IMPORT - Paste URL - IMPORT - OK - blank screen, nothing....i saw the video, and it loads the code right after import but not for me. :frowning:

I just went to the URL myself and pasted it so I'm moving forward...still not sure why it didnt import but moving along.
