I’m looking for an alternative scene controller to the Leviton Z-Wave VRCZ4-M0Z. The home I moved into a year ago has about 6 of them and I don’t use them. Previous owner had them programmed with the old programming remote. I had gotten one to pair but it doesn’t seem to lose it’s original config and controls random devices. I’d like to just replace them.
They do not have a load on them to control a switch but they are in-wall powered.
Looking for something that can be almond color and is either a 2 or more button controller. I saw the Zooz Zen32 coming out but couldn’t find it in almond.
You are probably going to have to give that part of it up. Most smart switches nowadays don't come in anything but white.
But if these Leviton are working, I can't see why they couldn't be full factory reset, and used by Hubitat? If they are still controlling things, they are apparently not reset. And I can't understand how it could control a random thing if it wasn't tied to a hub somewhere?
Yeah, I might have to be ok with white for some devices.
The zone controllers I mentioned are Z-Wave but also have a proprietary way of communicating with devices from what I’ve read. They are not attached to any hub (previous owner took his) and yet they can still control some of the other zwave switches that were previously programmed into the controller.
Maybe direct association with those Zwave switches? That is the only thing that makes sense by me looking at the instruction manual.
According to the instruction manual, a reset should remove those associations. If not, then a factory reset of the switches should surely clear that link.
Lutron Caseta switches come in light almond! And they rock. However, they do require their own hub (the PRO hub, not the consumer grade hub) for HE integration. Which is seamless I might add.
