Log Time Stamp Discrepancy

Morning,

This morning a lamp that is set to turn on at 4:30 did not appear to turn on as scheduled. The lamp is also controlled by a button so I thought it possible that it was by design or accident turned off by a button.

I checked the HE log and noted that the time stamp was off by 5 hours. I rebooted the Hub and confirmed that time zone is set properly and that the correct time is displayed in the Hub Details.

I have since discovered that the time stamp is correct when viewing "Live Logs" but when checking the same entry in "Past Logs." "Past Logs" displays a time stamp that is 5 hours into the future. I do not recall noting this behavior in the recent past. I am running firmware version 2.4.1.167 on a C-8 Pro. I edited the rule to turn the lamp on at an additional scheduled time and it turned on at the correct time.

Anyone else note this behavior?
Thoughts?

Thanks

I'm guessing you're on CDT. Might check your Lat/Long settings to make sure that they are correct.

Latitude and Longitude settings are correct. For kicks I changed from 12 hour to 24 hour time format to see if that might make a difference in time stamp reporting. Hour just flipped here and "Past Logs" still are 5 hours into the future.

Further the time stamp discrepancy appears in "Device Events" record as well. Initially I thought it may have an issue with devices connected to Hue Bridge but I have checked other device event records not connected to Hue Bridge and they reflect time stamp discrepancy as well.

And just checked further upstream at router and time settings are correct.

RESOLVED!

It is a web browser issue! I recently upgraded Mac Laptop and have yet to figure out all the new 'enhancements' to Safari browser. New version of Safari was not properly displaying Hubitat Dashboard. I fired up Mullvad web browser and though I was once again viewing Hubitat Dashboard as I wished. However there is apparently a tick in Mullvad's settings that I have not un-ticked or discovered that impacted the proper display of "Past Logs" time stamp. Oh well. Life goes on......

Yep, and so do these issues.... (More generally in IT)  :joy:  :sob:

I remember when "Gopher" was a thing, downloading Netscape Navigator the first day it became available. And less we forget the best email client ever (imo) Eudora. We have advanced from there sometimes stumbling & bumbling along the way.

That is true... I should not be so down on the current state of things... As a teen the prospect of a wireless network, let alone multiple in the same household, would have felt like a futuristic movie, let alone something I could even pretend to manage successfully  . If a few traditional issues still persist, at least it gives some of us something to chat about

I was lucky(?). I was not a teen when I was exposed to this new world. I was approximately 1/2 the age I am now. So I also know mimeograph machines, snail mail, making long distance phone calls only on Sunday when the rate was lowest, the Dewey Decimal System. YaDa Yada Yada. For all its failings the fact that I have access (at least for now) to much of all the combined knowledge on planet earth at my finger tips never ceases to amaze me.

I'm sure we are unique in this regard... No other generation have had it this lucky...

Perspective from outside of myself that I thought speaks well re: the promise of tech and how it perhaps has strayed.

If you are so inclined.
