I see the Lockley Visage face recognition lock is out and available. There is no mention of Zigbee or Z-Wave but it sounds like it will support Matter and have said it works with Apple Home, Alexa and Google.
If so, I’m wondering if we could control it directly via Matter or, at worst, via a virtual device. If we need the virtual device I’m not sure how much we could do with it beyond just lock or unlock. It looks like it comes with a door sensor so I would hope we could tell if the door is open or not.
That said, I got the U-Tec Ultraloq Z-Wave lock and after a couple of years it still only exposes being locked or not despite also coming with their own door sensor (and many unfulfilled assurances the Z-Wave features were going to be enhanced “soon”)
