Lock door with Room Lighting automation - Best practice together or separate?

I used Room Lighting for a nightly automation of turning off lights. I'd like to to add ensuring the door is locked to the turning off lights routine (multiple lights turn off based on one switch being turned off). But my lock does not show up in Room Lighting. I presume this is because the lock is not a light.
What is the best practice:
a. Move my entire routine to Rule Machine so that I can include all actions in one rule
b. Make a separate rule in Rule Machine so that turning off that one switch not only triggers the light routine, it also triggers a RM routine (HE locks the door if it is not locked)
c. Other?

My opinion only - as your purpose is fairly simple in this case, and makes no use of the subtleties or power of Room Lighting, I'd do the nightly turning off of all of it in Rule Machine or even Basic Rules. Then you can check at a glance you've not neglected any particular device

That would be a very easy rule to write, and then you have everything in one place. I would move it to Rule Machine or Basic Rules.
