Whenever I try and add my UK postcode I get the following error, anyone know how to resolve it?
"Invalid Postal Code, we support US/UK/Canada Codes Please enter a valid Postal Code or leave blank. Note it will not change previous settings"
You can leave it blank, and then enter your lattitude/longitude coordinates instead. This is used for Sunrise/Sunset calculations.

On my UI the map doesn't show either, do I need to get a google maps api key or something like that?

Once you add the correct Latt. Long then it should show on the map.
