Let me see if I get it right... if UI security is on, accessing local dashboards from the app requires user name/password, correct? And the expectation is that since you're logged into the app, you shouldn't need to.

Correct, but ONLY for EZ Dashboards. Has never been an issue for the old dashboards.
If you think this is a platform issue and not an app issue, it needs to be tested on the latest platform to confirm it is still happening.
For what its worth, it seemed to be working for a while and just broke again a few versions back.
