Local database backup failed Alert on 4 hubs

I have been getting an alert that local database backup failed on all 4 of my production hubs. If it was just one I would assume it’s a corrupted database and a soft reset would solve it, however it happens on all 4 of my hubs.

Currently running 2.3.4.134 but this was also happening on prior 2.3.4.132 release too. I upgraded to 134 hoping it would fix it but this just happened again last night.

@bobbyD any thoughts?

Mind if we look at your engineering logs?

Please do!

I have been seeing this error the last couple update versions. Currently on 2.3.4.148. Not sure if it is related, but I have not been able to manually create a backup file downloaded to my PC. Not sure if I'm mostly alone here or others have been seeing this issue too, just wanted to bring it up incase I am alone here, thanks!

Edit: This error I am seeing in chrome, when the backup fails to download

My issue ended up being caused by my NodeRed automation that downloads a hub backup around the same time of the hub’s maintenance. I moved out the timing of this flow and things are good.

@gopher.ny can look at your engineering logs to see if something else is causing it.

Yeah he reached out to me in a PM, I'll let him have a look and see what's going on

I just started getting this error on one of my hubs. I was running 2.3.6 when I saw the message. I have since upgraded to 2.3.7 thinking it would help, but nope. What is the best way to resolve it? Currently running 2.3.7.144. Saw the message on .139 and .140 as well.

EDIT: Looking at the local backups on my hub, none of them are at the scheduled 2:30 AM time.

Can you PM me the hub id? I'll check the engineering logs on the hub.

Sent. I'm available for a screen share or anything if needed

Just noticed error when I was finding events not triggering after near a year of rock solid stability. Logged in and prompted with this:

I don't use node red and haven't changed anything outside a temperature alert value in months.

Alert details shown above have zero.

Build 2.3.8.125

Have you attempted a manual local backup since?

Seems to work fine.

I haven't checked size of file as of yet. We'll do that now.

Update: 784k size on file. Not sure if valid. Need to confirm against old bu's.

The file sizes are comparable. Actually 1,366KB (Now) vs 1352KB (3 months ago). So, what gives and how to fix this?

Any ideas on this?

Install the current platform version (released today) - 2.3.8.128. It has updates intended to help w/backup problems.

Thanks! Seemed to work like a charm!

Unfortunately the same error is back one day later.2.3.8.128

Send a PM to @bobbyD at Hubitat w/your hub's UID (Settings>Hub Details) so that that HE can further investigate.

I assume you mean your overnight local automatic backup failed.

Try a manual local backup and post your results from that.

I suspect it is the nightly backup. I'll follow the steps you recommended.

Please include me on the PM to @bobbyD. I'll take a look at the engineering logs.
