This seems... strange. I have my C-8 set to backup every night at 2:01 AM. On the hub, the backup list is showing multiple backups every night at different times. For example, it shows that this morning there was a backup at 2:02 AM, 3:00 AM, and 4:00 AM. The day before, there were local backups at 2:03 AM and 3:00 AM, and a cloud backup at 2:04 AM.
Is anyone else seeing this? Given that there's a limited number of backups stored locally, I'd really like them to be on different days. Nothing much changes between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
Do you automatically reboot? I think it creates a local copy then.
I reboot on the first of every month at 4:00 AM. But that doesn't explain the other extraneous backups. Here are the recent reboots. I don't know if there was one after the reboot following the .121 update as the local backups don't go back that far because of the extra ones.
How about this:
I have a Windows Task Scheduler routine set up that saves a local copy to my laptop at 9:00AM every day.
It's been going on for a month now, so I have daily local backups going back to 2/22, for whatever that's worth.
I just looked at the Hubitat Backup/Restore page, and it has them as local backups, although I guess there's still a max of 5 local backups. Somehow the wget process created them as well?
I just ran the routine manually and confirmed that.
Ah! I do that also — downloading to my PC at 3:00 AM. Sort of forgot about that. I have backups going back a couple of years. That explains it. And, yes, this morning the backup list shows backups at 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
Thanks!
That'll be my first solution, lol.
