Linear adjuster

Hi,

I'm in need for a linear adjuster for my floor heating circulation pump. I will operate it with 1-10V dimmer. I haven't found a dimmer app which would change the dimming voltage linearily compared to custom attribute. In this case I would need approximately 0 to - 10c temperature as 0 would be 1V and -10c woul be 10V for dimmer.

Best solution would be dimming app where you could use dimming device and source device/custom attributes. Does someone know how this linear adjustment would be possible?

Thank you!

I'm not clear what you mean by that line. A custom attribute is any reported attribute value in a driver that is not part of a capability, so level is a capability attribute, and lightLevel would be a custom attribute.

So you need a 1v to 10v dimmer, or you have one and you need to control it from Hubitat? It sounds like you need a 1-10v dimmable power supply, being driven by a 120v dimmer connected to Hubitat. Dimmable power supplies will linearly dim the 1-10v power supply based on the 1-120v input level.

With linear attribute I mean, if the ouside temperature is for example 2 degrees, the dimmer voltage value is 1V. If Temperature is 20 degrees voltage would be 10V. Every temperature berween 2to 20 degrees would adjust voltage linearily between 1 to 10V for example 16 deg would be 8V.

And yes, I have dimmer. I would need an app to conrol the dimmer with attribute from temperature sensor.

So is it a smart 1 - 10v dimmer? Is it dimming a power source sent from equipment, or are you feeding the 10v yourself with a power supply?

An app would be very simple to write, or you can just use Rule Machine. Question is how are you connecting the dimmer to Hubitat?
