I've been playing with Vacation Lighting Director and am finding it cumbersome to get lighting sequences that realistically simulate what occurs when my home is occupied. For example, as we move around the house some lights cycle on 1-2 min intervals while others occur on 1-2 h intervals and our weekends are completely different from weekdays. I don't see any way to configure VLD to take these differences into account.
I have two questions:
Perhaps someone could set me straight if I'm mistaken?
Is there an App that allows recording actual sequences of light changes for a period of time - say 10 days - then randomly select one of those days (segregated by weekday or weekend) for playback while we are away on vacations?
I too have took a look at VLD and found the same difficulties. It would be great if there was a way to record lighting sequences and then play them back randomly. Great idea.
I have also played with Scenes as each Scene tends to the same, just the trigger time and duration vary. I guess we could create a range of scenes that capture these lighting events/sequences and use Rule Manager to trigger them during a randomised set of timings. That said, to actually capture the sequences and then play them back would be so much easier.
