Light Automation

Good morning.
I’m a HE user. Basic automations.
I’ve connected an HE system for my brother to control his pool lights and pool pump. Using the GE / jasco 40 amp relays.
His pool lights are the Jandy LED water colors. To change colors you have to cycle to power on /off.
Toggle once. Changes from white to the next color. Toggle twice changes from white to the 2nd color in the list. Toggle three times….changes from white to the 3rd color in the list….and so on for about 8 color options.
Anyway to program these toggles through a rule….or multiple rules? I’m assuming I’d need a separate rule for each state but a) never used anything other than simple automations and rules and b ) would zwave be responsive enough to toggle on/ off multiple times ( in a timely manner)
Anyway. Appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks.

Sadly won’t let me add a pic. But looks like I have to toggle within 1 to 3 seconds ( each time ) for each sequence.

I think the biggest hurdle is that you won't have feedback to know what color the light is currently set to. I think your best option would be a simple rule to toggle the light. Use something like a button to toggle the rule.

An alternative would be to have a button rule that will toggle the light a predetermined number of times. So instead of thinking of it as, "tap button to get blue" it would be "one tap goes to next color, two taps skips two colors, etc."

As long as the Z-Wave mesh is solid, then the time requirement shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks. Is that a simple rule to set up a discrete number of toggles ?

Yeah, I would do a rule for each sequence.
