Leviton DZPD3 Suddenly Not Working with Rule Machine

I presume this hasn’t been working for a couple weeks, because every time I try and turn it on, I learn that others in our house have physically turned off the lamp connected to it :joy: I just thought they wanted the overheads on and the lamp off, or something.

Anyways, I can use the driver page to turn the device on/off, but when I assign these commands from Rule Machine, the device seems to turn on or off and get stuck there indefinitely. I’m pretty sure it’s currently set to Generic Z-Wave Smart Dimmer, which is what’s been running fine for 3 months or so with this device.

Any thoughts? I’m running a z-wave repair now for safekeeping, but I’m not sure what that would fix as the driver page commands work fine.

Edit: I’ll enable logging and post back with any errors it might be throwing in the morning.

I worked to solve this a little more tonight.

The driver was still set to Generic Z-Wave Smart Dimmer, and when I'd toggle it with a RM trigger, it would change state once and get stuck until I pressed the physical device power button. After triggering it in RM, the log events from the rule were there, but nothing would log for the device.

On/Off still worked fine from the device page.

I changed the device type to Leviton Fan Controller (which is the driver all the other Leviton Z-Wave devices seem to use) and it works normally. So, there we go! Problem solved.
