Something to look out for is that it appears Sovol isn't the best at checking there stuff before they send them out. When putting mine together I had extra stuff that didn't follow any of the setup directions. I also had 3 of the 4 round adjustment knobs under the print bed plate that were just floating in the box and one spring came loose under the plate. Once I figured out where they went it wasn't to bad to put them back. just odd that it happened. Then on the gantry there was tape covering one of the sets of screw holes used to install it. I had to remove that tape before I could complete installing the gantry it was kind of hidden as it was on the inside instead of the outside where you put the screws in. Took me a little while to identify that. That last thing that took me a while wa deciding how to run the ribbon cable with all of it's connectors. The directions for that are just horrible for a first time user.
There was also an accelerometer sensor that basically had no directions on how to install. It is marked as optional, but it came with it. I didn't install it, but it would be interesting to hear if it should be used and what the benefit would be. One thing about that is if you know how it will benefit your setup, you probably want to install it before you put the bed cooling fan behind the extruder assembly. It has a second mounting section on the print bed, which would be easier to use if you choose to.
One interesting this is I think my concern about TVOC may be mute, well with the filament i have. I did 2 test prints with it last night. Ironically looking at my TVOC sensor data, though it was elevated, the highest reading it had was when I started to put the printer together and nothing to do with while I was printing. I will need to do another check after I get all the packaging out and the room stabilizes again.
That's unfortunate, and not what I experienced w/my SV05, things arrived put-together to the extent expected. Unfortunate about your SV07, but glad nothing was missing. 
The accelermeter will allow you to better calibrate your printer to minimize the impact of the vibration caused by your print head as it moves during printing. A good video here...
Thanks for the assembly tips - I'll keep an eye out for any similar problems as I piece mine together, and pass on details of any new pitfalls I manage to stumble into.
@danabw's beaten me to it on covering the accelerometer (I'd seen it mentioned in one of the pre-purchase reviews I found - going from that its use can make a significant difference). I plan to try things before and after running the calibration - partly For Science, but TBH mainly because I want to see it whirring away doing actual printing asap without any of your fiddly diddly calibration nonsense[1] delaying that first run!

Thanks for that info. I will go ahead and get it installed then. If it makes so much of a difference I don't know why it would be an optional install step. Would it be better to be on the extruder assembly, or the print bed assembly.
What I suspect happened with the bed adjustment knobs is they just were just barely screwed in and came out in shipping. One of the knobs wouldn't even screw in very well like the threads had a small bur after starting a little bit. I took it's screw out and worked it through carefully to not cross thread then added it back in. Even the one that was still connected I had to tighten way down per the directions to do the bed leveling adjustments. So it wasn't screwed in very far. The tape thing I have no excuses for them. That just didn't make a darn bit of sense.
Yep I have a few ideas for things like that already which should be fairly simple prints.
Regarding printing benchmarks, from @dJOS:
Some speculation here, but any swaying of the table the printer's sitting on may play a part in what the calibration makes allowances for; the printer might come out of the factory set up for a rock-steady platform, but need tweaking for best use in a home environment.
Even more speculation (as I'm not even sure we're talking about the same thing), but IIRC yet another review mentioned that as shipped the bed adjustment knobs allowed the spring-mounted bed to be manually tweaked. As the bed can be autoleveled, and the printer comes with solid mounts that can be swapped in to replace the springs, they did wonder why springs and manual levelling knobs were in there at all.
Swapping the solid mounts in was/is in my "things to look at right after the first test print" list.
Vector 3D’s calibration tools are excellent, definitely the best way to get dimensional accuracy from your printer.
There been a lot of testing in this, and unsteady tables make almost no difference to print quality.
For testing filament, just to see if you like the color when printed/texture/etc. I'd recommend finding knick-knack style prints as you'll end up with quite a few.

I just scale it down to print them in about 10 minutes (Bambu X1). A quick hole with a drill bit, a magnet, and some super glue and my wife has the side of the fridge covered in them.
What's the best value in 3d scanners now?
I wonder what would happen if the printer were on a platform that is suspended to allow free movement compared with on a surface such as a concrete platform that has no movement.
