Yes people, this was a real thing back in the day...
My favorite game on my PC jr!
Ever check out the Kickstarter funded one, Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded?
That returned with the same system (I see the page you linked covers it also).
So much fun (as were most of the Sierra point and click games). Anyone remember paying to connect to Sierra's dial-up BBS when you were stuck and needed a hint?
I never used the hint line but I remember dialing into a library in another city (long distance charges) to connect to the internet before the world wide web. I remember thinking how cool it was to connect to other computers all over the place
I used to run Bloom County BBS out of NJ on an Atari 800 with an ATR8000 with FoReM software. I was the first 2400 baud bbs on the east coast at one time. We used to have LSL for download...LOL
I was involved with a BBS running Fido and then another using TAG software. TAG was cool because we could design with color and graphics. Slow as hell though. How far we have come in a relatively short time
I was (1:2601/574)
The first month i logged into Sierra's BBS, I had a great time chatting with all these people from across the country... and then the phone bill came in with all the LD charges!
I ran my first BBS on a Atari 800 with a Prometheus modem. Then as I moved into professional work I used my Mac 512 running Red Ryder Host as a replacement. Those were the days. Lets say that most of the files that flowed though my BBS were really legit.
Out of curiosity... I asked a bunch of the questions for Reloaded of my wife and daughters (10 & 13)... My wife failed miserably but my daughters did pretty decently so what does that say...
Amiga 1200 with a blizzard '060 upgrade.

The internet still has that magical feel for me.
