LED strip Lighting with a lot of requirements

I am once again at the point where I have read so much I have confused myself so I though I would ask for suggestions.

I am making a "Beam Light" similar to the one pictured below. Mine however, is going to be somewhere between 20 - 24ft long. This is going to be outside up under a deck with a roof. I want to place LED Strip lighting on both the top and the bottom sides of the beam that I can control separately. On the bottom I want the LED strip to run in one solid run with a few inches on the sides for support brackets. On the top I expect to use a couple of separate strips leaving some gaps so I can mortise in holes for the LED controller(s) and anything else that I need to hide.

Here are my questions:

  • Are there any good outdoor Cob strips that you can recommend that I can cut to length and don't need a diffuser? I cant seem to find anything pre-packaged that will be at the length I need. If a diffuser is needed suggestions are welcome.
  • Is there an LED controller with 100% local control that integrates well with Hubitat and has its own "listener" so it can sync with music without the need for a separate app or a different hub? I am trying to keep this as hubitat based as possible without the need for additional hubs.
  • My network is primarily ZWave and Zigbee but I dont object to Matter(WiFi) as long as it can be provisioned 100% with the Hubitat and not with another matter controller.

I can find dozens of combinations of all of these but I cannot seem to find one with the hardware music sync box that also seems to integrate with hubitat. Maybe I am just asking for too much but I figured it was worth a try.

Thanks.

A comment about your requirement #3, is that NOTHING can be directly provisioned with Matter onto a HE (yet) - That's supposed to be coming at some future date as a phone app addition). - So you MUST initially provision any matter device (Wifi or Thread) with a separate device (Google, Apple, Amazon), which does the cert setup, and you can get an additional pairing code, and add it to HE.. - Once that's done, you can actually remove it from the original provisioning device, and it should continue to work in HE. - I'm a fan of Matter over Wifi, as well as HE, but direct provisioning is still a "work in progress" for HE. - It's really not a huge ask, as most home automation fans have either an Android or iPhone available to them.

Personally, I think your requirement #2 about local music sync as well as HE control is going to be your biggest challenge - I don't have any good suggestions that cover all your requirements -

PS - I really like the look of this project overall (your included photo), so sorry I don't have any great LED controller suggestions.

Thanks for the heads up about the Matter stuff. I suppose as long as its probably coming having to use another device to get it up and running now is not a big deal.

I agree, the biggest problem is the hardware music sync. I know some people make them but I cant find the right combo.

Maybe I will get lucky and someone knows something I don't

Check Pixelblaze.

Pixelblaze looks promising. - Thanks
