I have 2 Inovelli Blue switches. When I installed them, I also installed the LED Mini Dashboard to give me a visual on alarm status and other things. It worked flawlessly for months.
About 2 months ago, I noticed that the switches were defaulting to the light blue colt rather than red/green, etc. as programmed. Couldn’t find anything wrong with the rules. Simply pressing the “done” button restored everything to normal for each rule.
This has happened again several times, and again, pressing done does the trick.
I’m wondering if a switch driver or app update is cause this. The switch status is kind of important as my family is not thinking about the alarm when they come in.
I'm using that app on most of my 9 Blue 2-1 switches (all on latest f/w and driver), and it's been performing well.
Unfortunately, the app's developer hasn't been around in the community here for quite a while, so the app is not currently being supported.
Because of that, I'm planning to move my LED notifications to RM instead sometime in the coming months; I just haven't prioritized that yet since the app is working fine for me.
By any chance, have you figured out how to set the LEDs on/off and to color? I did a quick pass through and it’s not obvious to me. The conditions are easy to replicate, but the LED attributes not so much. Thanks!
Inovelli has a basic writeup here and it's good for the high-level how-to, but it unfortunately doesn't cover the "reset" stuff super great...
I actually just moved all of mine over yesterday, and it wasn't too bad once I got into a groove. What helped a ton was capturing initiate & reset data from the logs when I used LED Mini Dashboard, and I then used those details to replicate my work in RM. That really helped fill in the missing blanks from the Inovelli guide.
Now that I've done it, I actually prefer having it all in RM/BC, since I can better control unique notifications that may happen to stack on top of each other on the same switch.
Sorry I missed the notification for your response. Thanks for pointing me toward the write-ups. Looks a bit gnarly, but it shouldn't be too hard to replicate the rules they setup.
Could you elaborate on your comment "doesn't cover the "reset" stuff super great..."?
I mean that the Inovelli steps show how to create a notification, but not how to turn it off or reset back to normal. You can always double-click the Config button to clear a notification, but I primarily want to clear stuff via automation.
Using the log entries from LED Mini Dashboard helped me collect the data I needed to leverage in RM for both activating and resetting my notifications -- it's all still working well for me.
