Note that the setup described in that thread is for API calls to Hubitat, from SofaBaton (not from Hubitat).
The reason to use that integration is, generally speaking, to trigger a Hubitat automation (anything in Hubitat that can respond to a virtual button press) when a SofaBaton activity starts or stops.
To start or stop a SofaBaton activity from a Hubitat automation, you’d do something else.
