Latest Firmware - How do I roll back? - inclusion issue

I've an issue that's maybe related to todays update - 2.2.6. I've been using an Aeotec Z Stick to include Fibaro devices without security to HE. This worked perfectly, including with 3 I included yesterday. I updated the HE firmware this morning and have come to include another 2 of the Fibaro devices using the Aeotec stick but now they are being included at S0 (despite everything being unchecked when the Aeotec stick was added to HE). How do I roll back

Rolled back but hasn't sorted the problem. Inclusion with the Aeotec just adds an unknown device with S0 instead of no security

I'll try power down. The Aeotec Stick is included with no security. So using it to include another device it shouldn't be possible for it to include the device with S0.

Are you sure that's true? I thought it could pair S0 regardless of it's own pairing... but I actually have never tried this as I am usually doing the opposite.

Also there is a "security scheme" button in Network Management that you can set IF you included the device via the stick. Note: I don't think it will work for the S2 stuff only S0 and none.

@erktrek I'm not sure anything I say is true! I'm going nuts with this system. When I got the Z stick every device so far added at none and I can see that Z stick itself included at none. Sure I read somewhere that if it the Z stick was none it would not permit inclusion as anything else but I may have misunderstood or misread. What's happening is that it is including the device at S0 but it's only visible in the Z wave details page as below - not in the devices page.

Struggling to find the security scheme button or even identify the node I just added. The Z Wave Controller software is not very user friendly unfortunately.

Edit: identified the node and found the button, changed it to none but it hasn't changed in HE from S0

Thats because HE has not recognized the device yet... you may have to do a refresh/repair/discover (repeat) thing and/or poweroff your hub, 30 secs, restart..

Also can you go back to the PC Controller Software and select the device then hit "security scheme" and set it to none/no security?

Yeah I set to none as per my edit but not updated in HE. I'll try refresh/repair etc

I would probably do a shutdown/wait/restart first.. that usually clears things out.

edit: also wonder if you need to do an "update" on the device node in the PC Controller sw after changing..

Where are you seeing this option?

Is this new? I am running fw2.2.5.131 and dont have that option

I thought I was going (even more) crazy

Tried everything no joy. Reboot, full power down etc.

Removed the failed node (110) in Z Wave Controller. Excluded, included again - returned as 111. It shows as None in the security scheme but S0 in HE and hasn't included. I've tried an update node. Same result every time.

Are you hitting the inclusion button on the device twice, by any chance? Try to exclude, then press and hold the inclusion button for 20+ seconds to reset the device, then when ready to include, hit the inclusion button once, then wait for the device to be discovered. If problem persists, please send an email to support@hubitat.com.

The inclusion process on the device - Fibaro Dimmer 2 is to triple press the B button on the unit. In the Silicon Labs Z Wave Controller software I'm using the add button in the software just once. I've added about 10 of the Fibaro devices like this - same model and firmware - without issue so not sure what I could be getting wrong.

You probably already did this but can you reset your device?

Also try to include via "Classic Learn Mode" maybe though not sure that makes a difference since your other devices worked.

Yeah I've reset it and fully powered down etc. It just won't play ball. About 3 hours now trying to add a bedside light to the system - don't know why I bother with it to be honest as every time I work on this kit I end up feeling p***ed off angry and deflated by the experience!

Man, I have totally been there - early on in my HE experience I ended up having to re-include 100+ devices SEVERAL times.. was a serious pain. Eventually got it working and even though things have radically changed with my setup since then I have not really had a ton of issues :crossed_fingers: .

Classic learn doesn't work at all when I put the device into inclusion mode. Tried it again with add but got S0 again - I wonder if a claw hammer might fix it :smirk:

One other thing to look at - in the PC Controller SW - the upper right hand corner is "security settings" (shield icon). Maybe try and uncheck "enable S0" before including?
