I'm hoping someone has a quick resolution to this problem. I'm having it with two locks, both Kwikset 912 locks. I have several Kwikset 916 deadbolts that work fine but the 912's are having problems. I've even gone as far as moving the hub about 1 foot from the lock and I'm still have the issue.
My SmartThings will find it and add it no problem. I've excluded the lock, factory reset it and it still won't work. It will find it and say initializing but it never goes any further.
Any ideas?
Try doing a from settings menu Hub Shutdown (not reboot) when the light turns red, pull the power cord for 30 seconds (power cycling the hub), upon restart then try pairing.
Zwave radio on the hub works much better directly after power cycle.
That, unfortunately, did not work. It's not even seeing the device right now for some reason. Could the device, since it was stuck in initializing a couple of times be in some intermediate state within Hubitat?
To clear any possibility of it, You should be able to factory reset it...as well as EXCLUDE it using Smartthings, once that happens make sure to do an exclusion again first with Hubitat before trying to include it.... if you see "Excluded unknown device", you should then be able to pair,
Also the Hub will still need to be literally by the lock during this process
That's the strange thing. I did this. I excluded it with SmartThings, then I factory reset it and then I excluded it again with SmartThings. I still get nothing working. I'll keep playing around with it but I appreciate the help.
