BLUF: What is the best driver to use for the Kwikset 912 ZWave lock?
Background: Have five Kwikset Z-Wave locks in use for several years here. Recently I had a strange issue with the "front door" lock where the lock reported unlock condition every time you used the paddle handle and pushed it down to open the locked door from the inside. If you pushed it up, no report. So after some troubleshooting I decided to exclude it and re-include it. Sure enough, that took care of the immediate problem. After that I noticed that the newly added front door lock device had picked a "Schlage FE599/BE369 Lock" driver. All of my other Kwikset 910/912 Z-Wave locks are using the "Generic Z-Wave Lock" driver. Can anyone advise advantages or disadvantages of one driver over the other?
In general the Generic Z-Wave Lock driver will work better than the Schlage one (which seems to only work partially with the Kwikset).
