Recently my hub has gotten very sluggish and sometimes automations just stop working altogether. I did observe one low on memory alert also. A reboot fixes it for a while. In searching for the cause, I observe that Konnected devices are generating an enormous amount of entries in the logs.
This is a recent change of behaviour as nothing has changed with my Konnected setup in quite a while. There is no option for enabling/disabling debug logging for the devices it creates.
There is a toggle for debug logging in the Konnected (Connected) app and the apps for each board but both are set to disabled.
Any ideas on why this is suddenly behaving differently?
On a related note but not part of the problem above as these have always appeared, these events get logged in the Hub Events log and there doesn't seem to be any way to suppress them. For this issue, I contacted Konnected and their answer was simply to turn off the logging for these messages. Yeah, I get that. The question was how since there is nowhere in the Konnected app or devices to do that. But again, this latter piece is not new and far less of a problem.
I'm curious if Konnected generally causes a lot of "Chatter" to the hub? I installed Envisalink but noticed quite a bit of traffic/log chatter, and due to other problems uninstalled it. So wondering if Konnected would be a better solution.
I can't clearly tell from your first post in this thread but it sounded like your problem of "excessive logging" was not the norm.
I assume excessive logging is the norm for anyone using the Konnected supplied drivers.
Searching their own support forum, I find this problem raised by others (example below) but I've never seen Nate or anyone else respond there. The post below indicates that you can fix it by modifying the drivers supplied.
