I'm running one Kasa bulb that has become inconsistent.
I thought I had set it up so that it was being controlled within my network and not using the cloud control but noticed that the light did not turn on via its rule this evening and took a look at its settings and think that I did not achieve my goal of moving it from the cloud.
Which preferences or settings do I need to change? I thought by assigning an IP address to the bulb both in HE and on my router that this would have done it...I missed something obviously. Running on a C-7 HE with current software build.
And will this help with all of the erros that the device is throwing
Teh device currently shows offline

But when I peek at my router console it shows an excellent wifi connection. I've grown to not like wifi devices.
KL-130 has always been a pain in the posterior.
First, using the Kasa App, check for firmware updates to assure the device is up to date.
Changes to preferences:
- Manual IP Update - make sure IP address is correct.
- Manual Port Update - 9999
Other changes:
- insure your Kasa Cloud credentials are correct
- DISABLE two factor authentication for the Kasa Cloud access (google "Disable Kasa two factor authentication).
For new installs of the Integration Application, it is recommended you not enter the Kasa Credentials. They were there (actually) for legacy installations using the cloud when the app transition to built-in.
I've made those changes and have removed my credentials from the Kasa Integration app.
Should this still show "CLOUD"
Also, is this the correct setup for the Kasa App?
No. Run the App and it will might update the field when it "finds" the device on the LAN.
Also, is the device working?
Looks like itโs switched to lan now.
I am getting warnings though. The bulb is set with a static IP address in router.
Do I want Kaaโs cloud binding set to on?
It really does not matter from a Hubitat perspective (since your credentials are now zeroed out). But unbinding from Cloud will disable control through the Kasa Phone App without a means to recover other than reinstalling.
Thanks. Will leave it as is.
