Kasa 3-way and simple automation rule has mind of its own, really need help

I previously posted that one of my Kasa lights would not work in a simple automation app, when I hade 3 different light sets to tune on/off at sunrise and sunset. I then created its own rule for the problem light switch and it continues to:1./ Not responding to the command 2./ take hours to respond to the command. Hubitat is now a running joke with my wife.

I had originally set timers in the the Kasa app (and since deleted these), and they worked perfectly, and when I migrated to Hubitat, all hell broke loose.

As you can see, the Automation rule is basis basic... I would really appreciate some help

When I’ve seen this in the past, the issue was with the signal not getting to the device. This can often happen when a Z-Wave mesh is problematic (has devices not paired correctly, lots of interference, devices too far, so not getting a signal, etc.)

Is the “Porch and Garage Lights” Z-Wave, Zigbee or something else?

The Kasa switch is a "3 way wifi" switch. I should also mention I have set static IPs for all the lights (no IP conflicts). I added the "porch 3 way" to a dashpad, and when I click on the button in the dashed (its set as a "switch"), I get an "hour glass" waiting timer... which stays there forever... But, if i click on the icon with the hourglass a second time, the light comes on... I can do this consistently too.

I also have an extremely sound wifi network (4 Orbi 11,000's, that are hardwired (vs Meshed)

Based on the dashboard having a somewhat similar issue, it does indeed sound like an issue with the connectivity to the switch.

I am however not familiar with Kasa switches, so not sure why it sometimes work and sometimes not…

Thanks for trying Sebastien.

Here are the logs from the dashboard, and this is what I did.
6:44:03.298 I pushed the Dashboard button (changed to hourglass)
6:45:08.??? pushed the hour glassed button a second time
6:46:13.198 Push the button a 3rd time to turn it off

The odd part if at 6:45:08.007 and 6:5:08.145 it looks like my 2nd button push commanded an "off" but it turned it on???

That is very odd! The on happened after off was called… I wonder if the first On caused it, and it somehow ignored the off command…

I am 99% sure that I have solved it...
I found that I had a 3 different Kasa apps installed... 2 were manually add to "app code" and "driver code" by me, and I also had the built in "Kasa Built in App" Installed. So there was Riley some old code or conflicting / duplicated code happening.

The fix to correct, was to remove ALL my Kasa devices (33!), (needed to be done before you can remove the apps and code). Then deleted the "Built in Kasa App" and the two manually installed versions... then, added back the "Built in Kasa App", added devices (it remember the actual names thankfully), added the devices back to any automations (once the device is deleted, it leaves existing apps using it with no devices). Once all of this was done, my test by adding the switch to a dashboard worked flawlessly... so I am hopeful the lights will turn on at sunset!!
