Has anyone gotten this contact sensor to work with HE?
I paired this contact sensor using the Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor, and it appeared to work properly. However, now it shows a status of Closed when it should be Open, and is showing random Open/Close events when there are no events.
On the SmartThings forum users expressed having similar problems. The problems being fixed with a custom SmartThings driver. Is there a way for me to use the SmartThings driver for HE?
I like this device because it's cheep and uses standard AAA batteries.
Just copy the DH from ST and paste it into a "New Driver" within Hubitat. This often works but some errors may popup. I dont recall the exact error but it will include "physicalgraph." Find and change any reference of this and replace it with hubitat. If that still doent fix it, post the actual error(s) here.
I have a few of them (I've been slowly replacing them with Zigbee sensors) and have always used the Generic Z-Wave Contact Sensor driver when moved to HE. The only issue I've had with them is when the battery must be getting low and they then start to misbehave a lot. Their battery levels seem to be way out (some have stayed at 100% for 2 years). Just a thought.
