Just tried to update to 2.3.6.136 and now hub won't boot

Hello, looking for some assistance after attempting to update to 2.3.6.136 from 2.3.5.152.
During the startup after install, I was stuck at the message that the screen will refresh when the hub is ready. I waited almost 40 minutes for it to respond (the light was green). At that point I attempted to access using the hub diag tools, with no luck. I could not ping the hub. I then power reset the hub, (light turns green) still could not ping. The diag "Find hub" gives me the IP that I have been using and verified in the router that the address has been reserved with the correct MAC. If I click on the "Found hub icon" I get the response that the site can't be reached. I then proceeded to press the reset on the bottom of the hub. Light turns blue, then green, but still can't access or ping the hub.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

log into your router and find out what IP is assigned to the hub. probably you Router DCHP changed the hub ip after an update.

Hi, thanks for taking time to respond.
I went to hubitat.local and the site can't be reached. Strange that when I attempt to find hubs, I am no longer finding any hubs.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I did check the router and it was assigned the expected IP address of 192.168.1.11. Just what it has been. I also do the find hubs diagnostic, and sometime I get a response back that it found the hub (192.156.1.11), but I'll do it again and then no hub is found.

For giggles press the network reset button on the bottom of the hub for 7 seconds or more with a toothpick or paperclip. (It will be the only round hole out of all the square ones). Wait for the hub light to turn green and attempt the ip or hubitat.local thing again.

Thanks. No luck. Light turns blue for a second then green. Waited a few and hubitat.local can't be reached. Searching for hubs does not find one either.

  • Try a different Ethernet cable.
  • Try connecting the Ethernet cable to a different port on your Network Router/Switch.
  • Make sure Jumbo-Frames is disabled on all of your home networking devices, router, and switches.
  • Try a different power supply.

THANK YOU OGIEWON! It appears that it was the power supply!
Everything seems to be working fine now since it was swapped out.

Thanks to rlithgow1 and Navat604 for your quick help and assistance.

Glad you got it settled! I would do a soft restore just to ensure there is no database corruption...
