Just getting started and cant find hub

So, installed hubitat app on my s22 Android, logged in and it says it found a hub on an ip, when i wasnt even connected to wifi. Once i connected to wifi its showing the same fake ip. Tried restarting app and phone. My first time wit the app.

I apparently cant even get past step one. What am i doing wrong? I perused the forum and didnt notice this as a common issue but maybe i missed it.

Thanks

Hello -

It is very difficult for someone to help you without a description of your LAN, and how your hub is connected to it.

What's the color of the hub's LED?
Have you tried going to http://findmyhub.hubitat.com?
Have you tried using http://hubitat.local?
Have you tried using @thebearmay's Javascript Hub Finder?

Answers to these questions would be useful:

What kind of internet connection do you have?
Brand/model of modem?
Brand/model of router?
Brand/model of any network switches?
Do you have any VLANs?
Is your phone in the same VLAN as the hub?

I m asking, why does it say it found a hub, when i wasnt even connected to the network?

It could be something is being cached incorrectly. When you connect to wifi do you see the hub?
