Jasco Dimmer and State changes

Hi there community!
I have an older Jasco ZW3005 Z-Wave dimmer installed in a room. Manual actuation of the paddles works fine. I have the device setup in HE, and have tried several drivers. I can actuate the dimmer just fine via homekit, but if I manually toggle the dimmer, the state doesn't update in HE, Alexa or Homekit. I know that if HE isn't updating state the other two won't either.
I've even tried a couple drivers in the community, like @Botched1's GE/Jasco Dimmer driver.
Also - I have a rule that turns on/off a couple plugs when this device goes on/off. if I actuate it in Homekit, or HE, the rule works fine. If I manually toggle, nothing. I've even tried the generic Z-wave dimmer driver, to no success.

Any ideas here? Hate to rip/replace for a driver problem. (I've seen this recently with other GE/Jasco products and the incorrect driver, but the generic driver usually fixes the issue) TIA

It's an old z-wave device that doesn't send a status update to the hub to avoid infringing on Lutron's (now expired) patent.

Not a driver issue. If you have a single older z-wave device, you can ameliorate the situation by running the Z-Wave Poller app on your hub. Polling a single dimmer/switch will not add much by way of additional work on the hub.

Thanks for the tip. That seems to be working! I'll have to replace that old one at some point.
