I am having issues with Qubino Shutters that seem restricted to C7s.
This is my set-up:
3 controllers, one per floor. Ground floor is a C5, 1st floor and attic are C7.
Ground floor (C5) has 5 shutters, all of them Qubino
First floor (C7) has 4 shutters, 3 Qubino, 1 Fibaro 3
Attic (C7) has 2 shutters, all of them Qubino
The Qubino shutters are working with the system driver.
The Fibaro shutter is working with waytotheweb community driver.
On the C5 never had an issue with the shutters, installed about a year ago. After initial set-up I had to do maybe a couple of extra calibrations.
On the C7s, I am not getting reliable operation. All of the installed in June this year, I'm having the same issues in both hubs, about a week after installation some of them stop working. When they fail, they report the wrong status, instead of open, closed, partially open, status is opening or closing, as if they were still moving. They are stopped and power is 0 though.
This is an example:
They still work from the wall switches, but once they get this opening/closing status the states don't get updated anymore if operated from the wall switches, they are just frozen.
To get them to work again, I have to remove them from the network, and add them back. But they fail again after a week or so. Right now 2 in the first floor and one in the attic are stuck.
They stopped working about a month ago, I'm tired of remove them and add them back, tempted to move to Fibaro, althought the driver is community. The €225 euros I spent of them are also a blocker.
I have 5 of the Qubino Flush Shutters on my C7 using the Hubitat driver and have had no issues with them. I used them to replace Fibaro modules as the Shutter 2's were non plus and didn't update status without having a rule to refresh them (position not updated when using wall switch) The Fibaro Shutter 3's wouldn't work at all with my curtain motors.
The only annoyance I have with the Qubino's is that they don't report position status until after the motor has stopped (the Shutter 3 sends updates while moving)
The powerHigh looks way too high and far more than the Qubino Flush Shutter is rated for?
The power reading is obviouly wrong, it should've burnt the module should it?
I had to replace all the shutters in the first floor, all failed with Qubino, it was ridiculous and my wife was not very happy.
The fibaros are not failing so far, and work very well, but I have 5 qubinos, they are a lot of money, I need to re-use them.
I once noticed one of mine spiked at a really high reading but I've not noticed it since. I simply could not get the Fibaro Shutter 3's to work. the problem was something to do with the soft start curtain motors (Dooya 52S). They wouldn't calibrate. I read a number of posts on the Fibaro forum from people having similar issues and I tried a multitude of settings to no avail and gave up in the end. The Qubino's have been running for several months now without an issue. IIRC there was some additional information on them in the FAQ section of the Qubino support site. I'd raise a ticket with them - they got back to me regarding an issue within 48 hours.
