I've got this weird issue where using Alexa I can only turn a GE Enbrighten dimmer on and off. I can dim with the Hubitat app, but not Alexa. Ideas?
I'm running a Hubitat C-7 with most current update. The switch is about 7 feet away from the hub.

Might try removing the device from the Alexa Echo Skill app, save, and exit. Then go back into the app and re-add it. Sometime re-pushing it this way seems to make Alexa remember how to use the device.
THANKS! Worked perfectly!
I removed and reinstalled the Alexa Skill. Reselected the appropriate devices. Then deleted the Hubitat skill from Alexa. Tested and found all devices worked as they should. Dimmers and variable fan controls work fine. No Hubitat skill installed on Amazon.
Doesn't make much sense to me but it works.
There are two Hubitat apps (that can be installed on your hub) that permit Alexa control.
One of them is the "Amazon Echo Skill" - this one definitely requires a skill to be installed at the Alexa end as well.
The other is called the "Amazon Echo App" - this one does not require a skill to be installed at the Alexa end. Instead, it works by making your Hubitat emulate a Hue bridge. Your observations are most easily explained if you have this installed on your Hubitat hub and not the Skill.
In general, the Skill is preferred to the App.
Yes. I read that.
However, at this moment, there is only the Alexa SKILL installed on the HE and Alexa has NO Hubitat app installed. I just confirmed it again as I am typing.
