I seem to get a lot of these .. is this normal ?
Zigbee radio is offline
Zigbee radio is online
No, not normal at all, but it looks like you are running an older version. Please update to the latest version (2.3.9.193) and let us know if your radio continues to drop offline:

Morning BobbyD..
I have got this on all vers .. not just 176
176 is sofar is the best as everything works ok and has been the best for memory loss.
Uptime 17.81 days < on 176 = best i have ever got.
I had same issue and it stopped after about build 188 for me
Platform version - 2.3.9.193
Hardware version - C-8
I have been seeing this on my Zigbee hub (only one of my four runs Zigbee) since at least this Spring. Sometimes it goes for as long as three weeks without logging one of these, I have not been able to correlate these events with any other event(s). When it happens the radio if off for 7 seconds.
I was under the impression that this was a known issue and was being worked. Also, it's very low impact as it only causes a problem if it happens just as a Zigbee automation is trying to fire. I have been waiting patiently for a fix.
Let me know if I can provide any additional information that would help.
Thanks!
There is a software element that is being actively worked on, then there is the mix of devices that can cause the same symptom, and rarely there is a hardware element that requires a hub replacement. Based on the log itself is not possible to determine which scenario is causing the radio to drop offline.
Keeping the hub updated is the best way to start troubleshooting this problem.
Hi Bobby, can you elaborate? If it's not a large collection of devices, so we can avoid those devices.
Thank You
OK, good. I have been keeping the hubs (all of them) up-to-date. I usually wait a few days after a new release just in case there are problems.
Thanks,
Eric
This is a catch all category for cases that don't fit the profile of the other two (software or hardware), and is not device specific, but rather the hub load (size of the mesh, number of events generated by the connected devices and integrations, etc).
I am having this issue, too, as of today. For troubleshooting, I just upgraded my C-7 to 2.3.9.193 from some older build of 2.3.9. After the upgrade, I changed the Zigbee channel from 26 to 25, which is what seems to have triggered the online/offline cycles of the radio. According to the logs, it goes online for about 3 seconds and then dies. 30 seconds later, it is restarted. This cycle is repeating infinitely at present. Rebooting the hub doesn't seem to help.
@bobbyD, let me know if you need my hub ID for diagnostics.
Thanks for looking into this! ![]()
Have you tried shutting down the hub then unplugging the hub for a minute?
Embarrassingly, no.
One minuteโฆ
OK, I shutdown, unplugged, waited a minute, and replugged. No change; the logs show the Zigbee radio is still in a boot loop.
FWIW, your's is a different issue, @swiss6th is in a continuous Zigbee radio boot loop every 30s. Triage nurses will put him first in line. ![]()
