I think I remember reading about a kickstarter project.

I can see something like the GE Enbrighten switches.
Since they need to be powered, the power is right there-no wall wart and wire ugliness.

I'd prefer Z-wave, but that's just me. :slight_smile:

edit: I did a search and found a kickstarter for a multi function outlet. I think a switch configuration with radar might be more practical, and cheaper.
